GD Satcom Deployable Antennas and Terminals for EMR

The need to quickly deploy and establish reliable communications during a medical emergency is more important than ever. Emergency medical response teams need to be able to rapidly deploy and re-deploy communication systems without having to rely on terrestrial equipment and systems. Having a reliable connection is vital to coordinating logistics and key resources and supporting telemedicine to permit two-way, real-time interactive communication between the patient, and the physician or practitioner at remote sites.

Since satellite networks are not dependent on terrestrial infrastructure, they can be quickly deployed to establish immediate and critical access to wireless communications anytime, anywhere. General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies offers a complete range of antennas in a wide range of sizes and configurations, that can be quickly deployed to provide high bandwidth connectivity for any application. The antennas are lightweight, compact and easy to setup and transport. They are ruggedized and weatherproof to withstand harsh outdoor environments.

General Dynamics’ SATCOM Technologies’ rack-mount cases combine rugged durability with a lightweight design, making them ideal for storing and transporting important communications and medical equipment. Designed from strong GMT composite material, the extreme stiffness, lightweight and durable properties of the cases enable them to withstand the harshest environments including temperature ranges exceeding -20° F (-29° C) to +185°F (85° C). Available in 24”, 28” and 34”sizes, the cases provide excellent shock and vibration protection for electronic and medical equipment of all types.

In addition, the antenna is designed to meet international performance specifications for multiple applications. Multiple feed and packaging configurations can be supplied for a specific requirement that include low and high-power amplifier configurations for each frequency band.

Available for purchase as a base level antenna system or fully integrated terminal. Satcom Resources stocks, supplies and can integrate all the components you need to convert your base level antenna into a fully integrated terminal.
